Barletta for Senate Weekly Message Points

Red, White, and LOU!  The Barletta for Senate statewide bus tour kicks off with huge crowds and fantastic media exposure.

Following up on the momentum of President Trump and Vice President Pence’s campaign stops in Pennsylvania, Lou launched his statewide bus tour on Monday, August 6th: The “Red, White, and Lou” Tour.

This past week, the Red, White, and Lou tour stopped in: Hazleton, Wescoville, Annville, Gettysburg, Irwin, Butler, Pittsburgh, Beaver, New Castle, Uniontown, Indiana, and Huntingdon.  The crowds greeting Lou were tremendous… in Gettysburg over 100 enthusiastic Lou supporters crowded into the historic Dobbin House at 10am on a Tuesday!

Next week, the Red, White, and Lou tour will continue with stops in Lewisburg, Altoona, Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre, Johnstown, Tamaqua, Chambersburg, Lancaster, and State College.  More stops will be added in the coming days.  If you have any questions or are interested in supporting the tour, we would love you to hear from you.  We need all of your support to make Lou’s tour a success.

Lou’s tour received tremendous media attention.  Below is just a sampling of the press Lou received while traveling across the Commonwealth.  We’d encourage you to post these articles to your social media accounts to get Lou’s message out to an even wider audience:

The Red, White, and Lou tour’s success has clearly gotten in Bob Casey’s head.  Rather than sending surrogates to bracket Lou’s events, Casey himself showed up in Fayette County with a hastily arranged roundtable event to try and stop Lou’s momentum.  In the end, Casey just looked foolish in making false statements to KDKA’s Jon Delano in Pittsburgh about Lou’s record on healthcare that were quickly refuted.

Casey silent on Sanctuary Cities

It’s no secret that Bob Casey is weak on immigration.  His record is clear.  Dating back to when he first entered the U.S. Senate in 2007, Casey has consistently voted against stronger immigration enforcement, voted against penalties for Sanctuary Cities, and against Kate’s Law that would have put stronger penalties on illegal immigrants who commit crimes.

This week, an illegal immigrant who was convicted of the heinous rape of a 5-year old girl in Philadelphia (a Sanctuary City) was sentenced.  This rapist had already been deported and reentered our county, but when found, the City of Philadelphia did not cooperate with federal authorities.  It is because of Philadelphia’s Sanctuary City policies that this criminal was even in a position to commit the rape of this innocent little girl.  And Casey, a supporter of Sanctuary Cities, was silent.

Lou Barletta will not be silent when it comes to the safety and security of our communities.  He saw first-hand the dangers of illegal immigration when he was Mayor of Hazleton.  He had to personally comfort a family who lost one of their own to a bullet fired by an illegal immigrant.  Unlike Bob Casey, Lou Barletta will stand up for our communities and stand up and oppose Sanctuary City policies that are endangering our communities.

Here is Lou’s strong statement on Casey’s silence.

“Sleeping Bob”

It’s official!  Thanks to President Trump, Bob Casey has a nickname… “Sleeping Bob!”

“Sleeping Bob” is fitting.  No one know what Bob Casey has done in his 12 years in the U.S. Senate and over 20 years in statewide elected office.  He’s been “sleeping on the job!”

It’s up to us to wake up the people of Pennsylvania and make sure Sleeping Bob is looking for a new job after November!
